DCC Workshop: Encryption and Handling Sensitive Data In-Person

In this in person workshop we will present VeraCrypt as an encryption solution and give a small hands-on demonstration on how to set an encrypted volume up. We will also give information on what the DCC can help you with, present example cases and showcase the official DCC guide on VeraCrypt. 

This workshop assumes you will bring your own laptop and that you use Windows.

  • What is encryption and why do you need it?
  • VeraCrypt as a program
  • Examples of VeraCrypt uses and best practices
  • Installation of VeraCrypt
  • Important OS precautions
  • Create an encrypted volume
  • Create Keyfiles to further secure your volume
